Camp Nou exit
Yerry Mina’s agent has confirmed Everton’s interest in the player and also confirmed that talks have taken place between the club and agent.
The Colombian central defender has been linked with a move away from Barcelona since his huge performances in the World Cup.
He made history when he became the first defender to score in his first three appearances at the competition.
He impressed everyone but not enough to guarantee him a starting spot at Barcelona, having played a limited amount of games last season.
Gerard Pique and Samuel Umiti were the usual choices but the club have recently brought in Sevilla defender Clément Lenglet limiting his chances further.
While the player has always maintained that he would like to stay at Barcelona, it’s starting to look unlikely that he will have a future at the Camp Nou.
Marco Silva’s Everton are one of the clubs that have been most closely linked with a move for the player following the conclusion of the World Cup.
Reports have suggested that the Toffees are interested but Mina’s agent, uncle Jair, has confirmed their interest today.
Speaking to ESPORTS COPE, he explained: “I have had communication with the sports director“
While there were no more quotes talking about how that conversation went, you would think that we will soon hear if a move is on or not.
With Marco Silva explaining on Wednesday that the club are expecting signings in the next ‘few days’, he could be one of them.
