Arsenal lose Xavier Amaechi to Hamburg
Is this another talent that Arsenal fans will rue to have lost out on in future years?
As confirmed by the BBC on Saturday night, Xavier Amaechi has left the Gunners to sign for German club Hamburg.
Amaechi, an 18-year-old English winger, only had one year left on his Arsenal contract.
The teenager has agreed a four-year deal with Hamburg, who are currently in the Bundesliga II.

How much did Hamburg pay for Amaechi?
As reported by David Ornstein:
Hamburg will pay a fee in excess of 2.5m euros (£2.25m), plus several million in performance-related add-ons, while Arsenal have a sell-on clause but no buy-back option.
Ornstein also confirmed that Amaechi rejected a contract offer from Arsenal.
The youngster will wear the #17 shirt for Hamburg.

Did Hamburg face much opposition for Amaechi?
Yes, the BBC confirm that the Arsenal starlet had plenty of options:
He received approaches from Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Nice, Hertha Berlin and Championship sides, as well as late interest from four Premier League teams.
Amaechi, who joined Arsenal from Fulham as a 13-year-old, never made a senior appearance for the club.
