Man City & Gabriel Jesus
Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus has given an update this week on his health status.
Jesus hasn’t been seen since the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Jesus was reduced to tears at Selhurst Park as he was forced out the game with a serious knee injury.
So when can Man City fans expect to see the South American back in action? That’s unclear, as Gabriel Jesus has revealed he’s concerned and scared about his knee:
There were a lot of negative things in my head when I did the injury, which is logical. When I felt the pain there, I tried to continue after the throw-in, and I could not.
Thank god it was not a worse injury. I’m better, every day better, recovering well.
The knee is a very complicated part, even more so as I’ve never had an injury there.
I’m hitting the ball a little bit already. I missed that a lot, but I’m still a little scared. I think that in a week I’ll spend more days hitting the ball, I think I’m losing the fear. I think that in a short time I will train with the group again.
A great week in the Champions League
For the moment, Man City seem to be OK without Jesus in their ranks.
Sergio Aguero has been scoring goals for fun of late. After bagging four goals in the win over Leicester, the Argentine was again on target in the Champions League.
Man City has all-but confirmed their spot in the quarterfinals of the UCL following a 4-0 away win at Basel.
Ilkay Gundogan scored twice in Switzerland while Bernardo Silva cashed in with the other goal.
