Gareth Bale & Manchester United
Are Manchester United going to sign Gareth Bale this summer?
According to the Sunday Times, Man United’s efforts to land Bale seem to be revving up.
Bale was the hero in the 2018 Champions League final. The Welsh star came off the bench to score a match-winning double for Real Madrid.
But immediately after the final whistle, Bale confirmed he needs more game time. The forward has signalled his intent to move on.
Bale has long been tipped with a move to Man United. And the Red Devils seem ready to make that happen. The Sunday Times report:
The transfer fee is expected to exceed £85m, while matching Bale’s personal terms at Real Madrid would place the 28-year-old on a par with Old Trafford’s highest earners.

Bale’s enormous Man United wages
How much would Bale earn at Man United?
The Sunday Times reveal the forward could trouser half a million pounds a week with the Red Devils:
With performance-related bonuses and image rights factored in, the Welshman’s deal is said to be worth more than £500,000 a week.
(Ed) Woodward’s United have regularly demonstrated a readiness to raise their wage ceiling for players of high commercial value.
Manchester United’s front three in 2018-19
The final nugget of information dropped by the Times was a hint at how Jose Mourinho’s Man United may line up next season.
Should United land Bale, the claim is that United will play three up front.
Mourinho is reportedly keen on an attacking trio of Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Bale.
Where that leaves the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial is anyone’s guess. Jesse Lingard may also be worried about his place in the team is United field a 4-3-3 formation.
