Wolves vs Tottenham betting tips: Premier League match preview & predictions

Wolves vs Tottenham 101 Great Goals prediction: Wolves 2-2 Tottenham

Ahead of the busy festive period, Jose Mourinho will be hopeful Tottenham can build upon their comprehensive win over Burnley last Saturday.

Having rested players during midweek in Munich, Spurs will be expecting to see the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli looking sharp at Molineux.

Mourinho also has another opportunity to claim his first noteworthy win as manager of the club having lost to Manchester United just under two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Wolves were also in European action as they reached the knockout stages of the Europa League.

Nuno Espirito Santos’ side hit four past Besiktas but will be hoping for better fortunes in the league having been held to a draw with Brighton in their previous outing.

Premier League preview: Wolves vs Tottenham

Tottenham’s display in Munich was far from convincing as they crashed to a 3-1 defeat to Bayern.

Although, Mourinho used the game as an opportunity to hand fringe players crucial minutes.

Harry Kane and Dele Alli were two players who were left at home and should be eager to return to action on Sunday.

Having been in the job for over three weeks now, Mourinho will know he has plenty still to do, despite mostly positive results.

Midfield remains a big issue for Spurs with injuries and a lack of fitness for their options there causing them problems.

Mourinho may be forced to select the same partnership of Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko which started in both of their previous two outings.

He also faces another tough away trip, with their last two being defeats to United and Bayern.

Tottenham desperately need to remain in contact with fourth-placed Chelsea. With the Blues losing again on Saturday and playing at Spurs in their next Premier League game.

Eleven unbeaten in the Premier League for Wolves

Although, Wolves themselves will also be looking to keep in contact with the Blues.

Nuno’s team currently sit one place above Sunday’s opponents and are just five points behind Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

The mood at Molineux will also be rocking after the west Midlands club reached the Europa League knockout stages in midweek.

Wolves are on a run of 11 unbeaten in the Premier League and should be optimistic of taking points off Spurs this weekend.
