The first game in the Premier League on Sunday was Wolves against Burnley.

When the team sheets came out for the match, there were two interesting selection issues for Wolves fans to consider.

The respective line-ups at Molineux were as follows:

Leander Dendoncker & Adama Traore

Belgium international Leander Dendoncker joined Wolves from Anderlecht in the summer.

Dendoncker is a 23-year-old defensive midfielder who is equally comfortable lining out in defence.

Dendoncker has initially joined Wolves on loan. However the Premier League new boys have pre-agreed to buy the player for £12 million next summer.

But is there a problem with the new midfielder?

Dendoncker is yet to feature in the Premier League. He has made one appearance for Wolves in the League Cup.

Against Burnley, Dendoncker wasn’t even included on the bench.

Are Wolves regretting signing Dendoncker?

Moving on to the second issue, Wolves recently beat West Ham at the London Stadium.

The match-winner against the Hammers was another summer signing: Adama Traore.

Many Wolves fans were hoping to see Traore in the starting XI against Burnley. But the speedster was left on the bench.
