Wolves linked with Hoffenheim’s Joelinton but transfer fee is too high

Wolves & Hoffenheim’s Joelinton

There’s a new name for Wolves fans to research on Thursday: Hoffenheim’s Brazilian striker Joelinton.

Joelinton is a 22-year-old striker, who scored seven goals and chipped in with five assists in 28 Bundesliga appearances last season.

Joelinton is under contract with Hoffenheim until 2022, having joined them from Rapid Vienna in 2018.

Joelinton’s transfer fee revealed

As confirmed by the Express & Star reporter Tim Spiers, Wolves are “big fans” of Joelinton.

However, for a player who cost Hoffenheim a little over a million euros, his current price tag is too high.

Wolves have been quoted between “£30m and £40m” for the South American forward.

That’s just too pricey for Wolves right now.

Wolves: Transfer targets

Wolves are looking to improve on their brilliant first season back in the Premier League.

They finished seventh in the league, and they qualified for this season’s Europa League.

Tim Spiers has confirmed that Wolves are looking to add “two or three quality first-team additions” before the close of the transfer window in less than a month’s time.

The priorities at Molineux are to sign a defender and striker.
