Wolves are having another superb season in the English top-flight, and began the week sat 6th in the Premier League, only behind 5th place on goal difference.
Nuno Santo’s side would experience a slight dip in form recently, though, having failed to win three league games in a row.
However, the Wanderers would bounce back this past weekend with a 3-2 victory over a much-improved Southampton side.
Thursday’s clash will likely be one of Wolves’ biggest tests this term, though, as Liverpool remain undefeated in the PL this campaign.
Willy Boly & Diogo Jota updates
Nuno Santo would hold his pre-Liverpool press conference on Wednesday.
A number of things were discussed in the presser, including Diogo Jota and Willy Boly.
Jota has missed Wolves’ last two league outings through injury, whilst Boly has been out of action since October
However, on Wednesday, Nuno Santo would deliver rather positive updates on the pair:
“We have good news. We have Diogo [Jota] integrating into the team, working with the squad, [Willy] Boly also, so things are getting better.” As quoted by Wolves’ official website.
Nuno Santo on transfers
Nuno would also provide a transfer update ahead of the Liverpool clash.
Wolves have already announced the signing of one player this window, with Leonardo Campana having joined on Tuesday:

But despite already landing Campana, Nuno stated on Wednesday that Wolves are still working on bringing players in:
“We are at the same point as last week – we are working on [bringing players in]. It’s a moment that has a lot of rumours, a lot of names, some of them are true, some of them are not, but here we are working on bringing players in because we need.
“For now, for now. I’ve already explained the situation of Leonardo, but we’ve got to bring in players who can immediately give us solutions, because we still have a lot of games in front of us.
“Yes, of course [I’m confident]. But until they are – all the players, all the names of the transfers, you know how it works – is done, that is when he joins us.” As quoted by Wolves’ official website.
