Wolves blows: Ryan Bennett to miss Chelsea & Burnley plus Jota injury

Wolves vs Cardiff

Wolves hosted Cardiff on Saturday as they looked to bounce back from their midweek defeat vs Huddersfield.

Nuno Santo’s side started the day in 7th place but could drop down to 8th should they have lost to Cardiff.

Cardiff were also looking for a response on Saturday after they were beaten 3-0 by Everton earlier this week.

However, it would be Wolves who struck first with Diogo Jota putting them 1-0 up in the 16th minute.

After assisting Jota, Raul Jimenez would get on the scoresheet himself just two minutes later.

Bennett to miss two games for Wolves & Jota injured

Despite the positive result vs Cardiff, Wolves were handed a big blow on Saturday.

Ryan Bennett has been a key member of Wolves’ backline this season playing 28 of their 29 league games.

However, Bennett would be booked in the first half of the Cardiff clash.

As a result, Bennett will now miss Wolves’ next two fixtures vs Chelsea and Burnley.

Diogo Jota could also be set for a spell on the sidelines after coming off one minute into the second half with an injury.
