Zaha desperate to join Arsenal this summer
Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha has reportedly pleaded with his current club to reach an agreement with Arsenal for his transfer.
It was reported this week that Arsenal could move for the former Manchester United star, and that Zaha actually ‘favours’ a move to the Emirates.
That comes after another impressive campaign for Zaha, who scored 10 goals and assisted 10 in the Premier League last season.
While Zaha may want a move to Arsenal, Crystal Palace won’t want to lose their talisman.
Their stance is only backed up by the fact that Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to join Manchester United.
It was even reported back in May that Palace would demand £100 million for Zaha.
Now, the forward is pleading with Palace to let him leave for Arsenal this summer.
Crystal Palace need to soften their stance
According to the Daily Mail, ‘Zaha has informed his club of his desire and urged them to reach an agreement with the club he supported as a boy.’
The report continues by explaining that Palace’s plan was to only allow one of Zaha or Wan-Bissaka to leave.
With the latter set to join Manchester United, their stance makes it difficult for Zaha.
Despite that, Zaha ‘remains determined’ in sealing a move away from Selhurst Park this summer, and hopes to join Arsenal.
However, Arsenal’s limited summer budget could cause issues, with a reported £ 40million kitty.
According to the Mail’s report, Palace have slapped an £80 million price tag on Zaha.
However, Zaha is ‘hoping that Palace chairman Steve Parish will lower the club’s demands to make his dream switch a reality.’
