Wilfried Zaha & Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace will take on Cardiff City at Selhurst Park on Boxing Day in the Premier League.
The Eagles will be full of confidence heading into the match following their incredible 3-2 win at Man City last weekend.
Cardiff lost 5-1at home to Man United last Saturday.
Wilfrid Zaha will be expected to lead to Palace attack against the Bluebirds.
But could Palace’s Ivory Coast international be gearing up for a possible exit from south London?
According to the Daily Mail on Wednesday, Zaha is the subject of a lucrative offer to move to China:
Wilfried Zaha has been offered a staggering £11million a year to move to China next month.
The Crystal Palace striker is a target for Super League side Dalian Yifang, who are prepared to make the Ivory Coast international one of the best-paid players in the world.
They propose to pay Zaha a minimum of £44m — after tax — over four years.
How much could Crystal Palace make by selling Zaha?
That’s unclear, with the Mail simply reporting that Dalian Yifang plan to submit their offer to Palace when the transfer window opens.
Bournemouth’s Jermain Defoe transfer news
Many Palace fans will baulk at the suggestion of selling Zaha in January, regardless of the transfer fee.
Zaha is the Eagles most important attacking asset.
The 26-year-old, who is under contract until 2023, has three goals and three assists in the league.
Yet, at the same time as the Zaha rumours swirl, the Times have an update on Jermain Defoe leaving Bournemouth:
(Eddie) Howe is ready to allow the former Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe to leave Bournemouth when the transfer window reopens next month.
Defoe has cut a frustrated figure in recent weeks after accumulating only 22 minutes of Premier League football this season and has admirers in the Championship as well as Crystal Palace.
