Paul Pogba celebrates vs Young Boys

Why Paul Pogba will not be leaving Manchester United

Pogba’s going nowhere

Paul Pogba will not be leaving Manchester United for Barcelona anytime soon for one reason, according to reports in Spain on Friday evening.

The Frenchman has struggled at Old Trafford for the past 12 months but had a stunning World Cup with France.

The problems haven’t just come on the pitch though.

That is because there are seemingly problems with him and Jose Mourinho.

The pair were seen arguing on the training pitch a couple of weeks ago and Pogba has been stripped of the captaincy.

Barcelona then started to be linked with a move for the player in the January transfer window.

Though, it looks as though the Catalan giants won’t be getting their man if the most recent reports are to be believed.

Glazers consider Pogba the Messi of Manchester United

That is because Mundo Deportivo reported on Friday that Manchester United will not let Pogba go.

The reason? They see him as the Lionel Messi of Manchester United.

Mundo Deportivo’s report suggests that it is not so much the money involved.

It’s more the fact that the Glazers family want to build around the Frenchman.

Their report reads:

“The Glazer family considers that Pogba is their Messi, the player on whom to mount a project, with Mourinho or without him.”

They also claim that whenever Ed Woodward has been asked about the player’s availability, he has simply claimed that Pogba is ‘untouchable’.

If that is to be believed, then any reports suggesting that a move to Barcelona is possible could soon be outdated.
