Move to Anfield not happening
Lucas Paqueta has been a named linked with Liverpool since the summer but according to reports on Wednesday, a deal is almost certainly not going to happen.
Paqueta has been impressing with Flamengo in Brazil and a move to Europe could soon be on the cards.
The attacking midfielder has scored 9 and assisted 3 during the season so far and that is an impressive record for a 21-year-old.
AC Milan were even linked with a €35million bid for the player on Tuesday and look set to complete a deal.
There have also been suggestions over the past week that Liverpool would be looking to make a move in the January transfer window.
They even went as far as suggesting that his agent had landed in Liverpool for talks.
Though, a move doesn’t look to be on the cards.

Liverpool deny any interest
That is because a report from the Standard reveals that Liverpool actually have no interest in the player.
They claim that the club are ‘baffled’ by the reports over the past week.
Their report reads: “Standard Sport understands that the twice-capped Brazil international is not on the Reds’ radar, with club sources baffled by suggestions that he could be set to link up with Jurgen Klopp.”
So, before that rumour even really got off the ground, it has come crashing down.
That’s not to say they could move for the player, but a move for the player now certainly seems unlikely with AC Milan nearly completing a deal.
