West Ham’s Karen Brady reveals cutthroat insider story about Leicester owners sacking Ranieri

Ranieri Sacked

Premier League managers have been left reeling from the news that Claudio Ranieri has been sacked by Leicester City

Given how highly regarded he is among his colleagues, and his title-winning achievement at Leicester, the news has been met with absolute shock within the Premier League.

Indeed, Jose Mourinho was so taken aback by the news that he paid homage to the Italian at his press conference yesterday.

And the tributes haven’t been limited to managers – they’re pouring in from players too, with Chelsea’s John Terry and David Luiz taking to Instagram to offer their support.

Leicester owner bragged and bought wine before sacking

Some rather distressing details behind the sacking have now been revealed by West Ham vice-chairman Baroness Karen Brady.

How exactly Brady obtained this information is unclear; she may or may not have been at the scene and saw for herself.

She claims Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was buying expensive wine at Hedonism Wines in London’s Mayfair just an hour before wielding the axe:

“Whilst browsing the Leicester owner told him that in an hour or so news would break they had sacked Claudio Ranieri.

“Such a shame that the fairytale turned into a nightmare.

“At least the owner can drown his sorrows in some style.”

“He then went and settled his bill for wine and champagne, quite casually.

“I am guessing the compensation payment to his old manager is mere pocket change by comparison.

“Such a shame that the fairytale turned into a nightmare.

“At least the owner can drown his sorrows in some style.”

Another source said: “The Leicester owner looked like the cat that got the cream as he nonchalantly told another customer how he was sacking Ranieri.

“The fact he was laughing and smiling made people think he must have been joking.’
