West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen outlines ‘ultimate dream’ & reveals admiration for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah

West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen recently took part in an interview in which he discussed Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah and his England goals.

Jarrod Bowen impressing with West Ham

Jarrod Bowen is currently in the midst of arguably his best-ever Premier League season.

Bowen has always been a useful asset for West Ham, but it is in the current campaign where he has impressed the most.

In 20 league outings for the Hammers, Bowen has scored three goals and provided a very impressive seven assists.

Bowen on Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah & England

Only Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold have provided more in the PL this term (9).

And it is Liverpool’s Mo Salah who Bowen has been heaping praise on recently, revealing in an interview with the Evening Standard that the Egyptian is one player he takes inspiration from:

“I think Mo Salah is the perfect example. The goals he scores and assists he gets, the impact he has on games and consistently doing it every season since he joined Liverpool.

“He is definitely one that I look at and I think he is one of the best players in the world at the moment. As a player you always want to look at people in a similar position to yours and learn from them.”

In the same interview, Bowen revealed that getting an England call-up is the ultimate dream:

“I think this season was about progression and getting the call up for England is the ultimate dream.

“That is out of my hands, my job is to deliver on the pitch and show what I am about. That is all I can do, keep putting in the performances and the end product.

“If it happens then it happens, if it doesn’t it doesn’t. I can only control what I am doing. It is not on my mind, the more you think about these situations which are not in your control, the more it plays on your mind and affects you.”

With the next international break set to start at the end of January, could Bowen be in line for a call-up?

He is certainly in much better form than Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford right now.
