People can’t believe the amazing West Ham comeback against Spurs

Two down

At times, it seems like West Ham United make it their personal mission to spoil whatever hopes Tottenham Hotspur have of joy.

The north London side were 2-0 up against the struggling Hammers in their Carabo Cup tie – only to find themselves pegged back to 2-2 and then go 3-2 down after a goal from Ogbonna.

It was a classic case of ‘two nil up and you f*cked it up’ for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, and it came at the worst time with Manchester United around the corner, and while they thrashed Liverpool in their last Premier League outing, it will give Jose Mourinho hope that his side can break Spurs down and their morale will be knocked at least slightly.

Pochettino may have claimed the League Cup is one of the smaller trophies and not really one he wants to win, but it will hurt, and in terms of West Ham, the comeback will be huge for Slaven Bilic, who must be looking over his shoulder and wondering if he will keep his job until the end of the season given their form in the league.

It was a shocking result and Twitter of course went mental.
