West Ham lose ground in Abraham race

Tammy Abraham has been a seemingly long term transfer target for West Ham, but they have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the Chelsea man. As per twitter user @ExWHUemployee, incredibly reliable for West Ham news, the English striker would prefer a move to Arsenal, who are thought to also hold an interest in his signing.

Were West Ham able to convince Abraham to swap west London for east London, however, they would be likely to get their man at a discount price, with Chelsea now thought to be willing to accept offers around 30 million pounds as they look to fund their own spending sprees.

This represents an improvement on the initial 40 million pounds demanded by the Blues, although tempting Abraham to the London Stadium still represents a massive, perhaps insurmountable, hurdle for David Moyes and the club hierarchy to face.

Lingard doesn’t want reunion

More bad news for West Ham fans has been forthcoming in recent hours, with Jesse Lingard thought to prefer a move abroad or to stay at Manchester United over a return to the Hammers.

Jesse Lingard proved a revelation at West Ham over the second half of last season, registering nine goals and five assists in his 16 appearances for the club, and helping to propel them into the Europa League in the process.

However, it seems as though West Ham will have to take to Europe without a key part of the jigsaw, although they may have found a suitable alternative.

West Ham lead race for Pereira

That alternative is none other than West Bromwich Albion’s Matheus Pereira, with the Hammers thought to now be in the driving seat over a potential deal.

This comes as their main competitors for the deal, Al-Hilal, are reportedly refusing to cough up the required amount for his signature, leaving the Hammers with a free run at the Brazilian.

Would he be a suitable replacement for Lingard?
