West Ham United have, on Sunday, provided an update on the wellbeing of Jarrod Bowen.
Bowen, amid a stellar campaign in front of goal to date, was unsurprisingly afforded his latest start yesterday evening, as West Ham made the trip to Anfield for a Premier League meeting with Liverpool.
In a major blow for all associated with the Irons, though, with Declan Rice already absent through illness, Bowen was too forced to cut his evening short owing to a heel injury picked up in a challenge with Andy Robertson early in the 2nd-half.
Any such supporters, however, can this evening breathe a sigh of relief.
This comes with the Londoners having released a statement across social media a short time ago, confirming that Bowen, in fact, has suffered 'no significant damage':
Mane makes the difference
Bowen’s injury concern, of course, came amid an altogether disappointing evening’s work for West Ham on Saturday.
Despite carving out a series of presentable opportunities over the course of the 90 minutes, Moyes’ troops were ultimately put to the sword by a goal to nil courtesy of a Liverpool outfit who have now won twelve games on the spin.
A solitary Sadio Mane effort, netted just shy of the half-hour mark, proved the difference when all was said and done, as West Ham saw the club’s top-4 hopes dealt an altogether considerable blow.
