Higuain struggles for Chelsea
Gonzalo Higuain spent the second half of the 2018/19 campaign on loan at Chelsea.
At the time, Maurizio Sarri was at the helm for the Blues.
Given how well Sarri and Higuain had previously worked together for Napoli, you would have thought that Higuain would be on top form for Chelsea.
Unfortunately for the Stamford Bridge faithful, Higuain’s loan spell was rather dismal.
In 18 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea, the Argentine scored just five. That is not exactly a terrible record, but it isn’t enough for someone of Higuain’s supposed quality, playing alongside the likes of Eden Hazard.
Premier League return?
Despite having such a lacklustre end to the 2018/19 season, Higuain could well be on his way back to England for the forthcoming campaign.
Marko Arnautovic recently departed West Ham for China.

The Hammers now appear to be in the market for a new forward.
Sky Sports News reported on Saturday that both West Ham United and AS Roma are interested in signing Higuain this summer.
However, the ex-Chelsea man is said to be determined to remain at Juventus, after spending time out on loan with AC Milan and Chelsea.
West Ham are interested in bringing former Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain back to the Premier League, according to Sky in Italy.
