Arsenal vs West Ham
It’s only round three of the Premier League season next weekend, but already the pressure is building on Unai Emery and Manuel Pellegrini.
Emery is finding his feet at Arsenal after replacing Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners have lost their opening two matches against Man City and Chelsea.
At West Ham, the appointment of Pellegrini was supplemented by a sizeable outlay in the summer transfer market.
Yet the Hammers have also lost their opening two matches of the season against Liverpool and Bournemouth.
That’s left both London clubs pointless before Saturday’s local derby.
West Ham to drop Mark Noble vs Arsenal
According to the Daily Mail on Tuesday, Mark Noble is set to lose his place in the West Ham midfield.
Noble, 31, has played almost his entire career for the Hammers.
However the Irons diehard is tipped for the chop as Pellegrini has doubts about his ability to still boss games. Readers are told:
West Ham captain Mark Noble’s position in the starting XI could come under threat with manager Manuel Pellegrini concerned about a lack of mobility in midfield.
The Hammers have Carlos Sanchez and Pedro Obiang who could fill the role of a central midfield runner that Pellegrini is considering adding to his team.
If Noble is dropped against Arsenal, one suspects a large group of Hammers fans will be happy.
West Ham fans have singled out Noble for criticism after the Bournemouth game.
Specifically, Noble is being called out for his lack of effort in failing to stop Callum Wilson’s goal.
Sam Allardyce vs West Ham’s midfield
The former West Ham manager has also questioned whether Jack Wilshere and Mark Noble are good enough for West Ham.

It’s also worth noting that Noble lost his penalty taking duties against Bournemouth.
Instead Marko Arnautovic was handed the responsibility from the spot. Is that another sign Noble’s standing at West Ham is on the wane?
