West Ham’s double injury boost before Chelsea

Chelsea vs West Ham

After losing at home against Tottenham last weekend, another London derby is schedule this weekend for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea take on West Ham United, as the Hammers continue to battle for their Premier League survival.

Last weekend was a huge boon for the Irons.

They trounced relegation rivals Southampton 3-0 at the London Stadium. It was the perfect pick-me-up after the sorry scenes in the previous 3-0 home defeat to Burnley.

Javier Hernandez & Manuel Lanzini

Two of West Ham’s star foreign players missed the Southampton game.

Both Mexican striker Javier Hernandez and Argentine playmaker Manuel Lanzini were on the sidelines with knocks.

But in good news for Hammers fans, it looks like Chicharito and Lanzini will be available for the Chelsea match next weekend.

Indeed, Chicharito was back in training on Tuesday.

Michael Antonio’s season is over

Earlier in the week it was confirmed that Michael Antonio’s season is over.

Antonio was injured during Saturday’s Premier League win over Southampton.

It’s been confirmed that Michael Antonio is now out for the next few months with a hamstring injury, meaning his campaign is done.

Antonio’s 2017-18 has been blighted by injuries. The winger has missed 16 games as the Hammers have struggled this season.
