West Ham United co-chairman David Sullivan caused a bit of a stir online after his appearance on Sky Sports ahead of the match against Manchester United. The kick-off had been delayed, moving from 7.45pm to 8.30pm, after United arrived late for the last ever Boleyn Ground fixture. Sullivan was not a happy man.
He said that United should have arrived at 4pm knowing how important this fixture was. He moaned that this had disrupted post-match plans and that a lot of fans wouldn’t be able to stick around for celebrations.
What he didn’t care to mention was the West Ham hooligans who played a big part in United being late after they blocked up the street and pelted their team bus with bottles, smashing it up. Watch him speak below.
