West Ham, Burnley, Allan Saint-Maximin & Fabian Delph all have injury problems

West Ham: Lukasz Fabianski & Mark Noble

West Ham kick off their new Premier League campaign next Saturday at home to Manchester City.

A week before the start of the season, Manuel Pellegrini has two new injury problems to key players.

As confirmed by Football London’s Sam Inkersole, Lukasz Fabianski and Mark Noble have injury concerns before the City game.

Starting with Hammers captain Noble, he’s in grave risk of missing Saturday’s fixture:

The skipper has missed the last three friendlies of the summer after picking up a dead leg ahead of the victory over Fulham and has not been in training since.

As for goalkeeper Fabianski, he has a groin problem:

Hammers number one stopper Lukasz Fabianski has undergone an MRI scan on his groin problem he picked up earlier this pre-season and aggravated in the warm up prior to the 5-3 victory over Hertha Berlin.

Burnley have four injury concerns

Burnley begin their season with a home match next Saturday against Southampton.

Yesterday, Sean Dyche’s men beat Parma 2-0 at Turf Moor.

Neither James Tarkowski nor Kevin Long were in the Burnley squad to face the Italians.

Tarkowski missed the match with a thigh problem, while Long has a groin injury.

Elsewhere, midfielder Jack Cork was subbed out of the Parma game after an untimely slip.

Robbie Brady also sustained an injury to his ribs which forced him off in the first-half.

Newcastle’s Allan Saint-Maximin

In the past few days, 22-year-old winger Allan Saint-Maximin joined Newcastle from Nice.

Saint-Maximin was in action on Saturday against St. Etienne, however the Magpies new boy picked up a knock.

Steve Bruce confirmed that Saint-Maximin “turned his ankle”, but the problem isn’t thought to be severe.

Newcastle host Arsenal at St. James’ Park next Sunday.

Concern for Everton’s Fabian Delph

Everton signed Fabian Delph from Man City this summer.

However, Delph may have to wait for his Premier League debut for Everton, after he picked up an injury after five minutes on Saturday against Werder Bremen.

Marco Silva confirmed that Delph sustained a groin injury against the Germans.

Everton open their season away at Crystal Palace next Saturday.
