Why West Brom’s Jake Livermore ‘shoved’ a West Ham fan

West Ham 2 – West Brom 1

It was an unhappy return to West Ham for Alan Pardew.

Why did the Baggies fire Tony Pulis again?

Pardew, in his eighth match in charge of West Brom, once again failed to chalk up his first win with the Baggies.

Instead they lost 2-1 at West Ham to plunge West Brom into even greater relegation bother.

West Brom are second bottom of the division with just 16 points from 22 games. They’ve not won in the league since August.

Andy Carroll was the hero for the Hammers with a double.

West Brom actually took the lead through James McClean.

Jake Livermore ‘shoved’ a West Ham fan

There was an unsavoury incident at the London Stadium involving England international Jake Livermore and a West Ham fan.

After Livermore was subbed out the game after the hour mark for Hal Robson-Kanu, the midfielder was engaged by an Irons supporter in the crowd.

Cameras caught the moment Livermore ‘shoved’ the West Ham fan.

So what happened?

Alan Pardew confirmed after the match that Livermore had been provoked by the West Ham fan. And, if rumours on social media are right, the West Ham supporter shamefully goaded Livermore with disgusting taunts about his personal life.
