Former Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder has released himself from his Galatasaray contract by paying off the rest of his deal, thought to be €4.5 million.
The long-term Manchester United target moved to Turkey in 2013 from Inter Milan having fell out of favour at the Italian giants.
Sneijder was one of the most pivotal players in Inter’s famous treble winning season, with Jose Mourinho in charge.
Now, it looks as though he could well be set for another move after personally paying off his contract with the club.
There has been a sense of tension between the Dutchman and Galatasaray for the past season and was also fined £2m last summer for picking up 11 yellow cards.
Regardless, the player is now looking for a new club and Jose Mourinho, who once described the player as the perfect no.10, could make a move.
Inter Milan could also be an option should the player wish to return to the San Siro club.
Sneijder has also once claimed that he would have no issues joining AC Milan if they did come calling, though that is unlikely.

Man United target Perisic
Manchester United are not letting up on their pursuit of Ivan Perisic but may have to send a star player in the other direction.
The Serie A giants have requested one of their star players in a potential deal for the Croatian.
