Watford’s Ismaila Sarr linked with Liverpool & Wolves

A recent report in England has named Liverpool and Wolves as clubs expressing an interest in Watford winger Ismaila Sarr.

Watford standout

Watford secured Sarr’s signature last summer from French outfit Stade Rennais.

The then-Premier League side are believed to have paid £27m to bring the winger to Vicarage Road.

And even though Watford had a pretty poor 2019/20, which eventually resulted in their relegation to the Championship, Sarr nevertheless enjoyed a solid season.

All told, the pacy winger managed to notch five goals and six assists in 28 league outings.

Ismaila Sarr of interest to Liverpool & Wolves

But with Watford now relegated, speculation surrounding Sarr’s future with the Hornets has begun to mount.

A recent report from the Sun linked Sarr with a potential move to Crystal Palace, as a replacement for Wilfried Zaha.

The same report also stated that the Eagles were ready to offer up £40m to land the African.

But, if the aforementioned speculation is to be believed, then it is not just Palace expressing an interest in the Watford standout.

As per the Mirror, citing the Watford Observer, if Adama Traore leaves Wolves, Nuno Espirito Santo could make a move for Sarr.

The Mirror go on to claim that Sarr is also of interest to Premier League champions Liverpool.

However, is is also suggested that Liverpool are reluctant to spend big on the transfer market this summer.

As such, with Crystal Palace apparently willing to offer up around £40m for Sarr, will Liverpool actually be able to sign the winger this summer?
