Watford star Christian Kabasele has this afternoon provided an update on his wellbeing, following the stopper’s worrying clash with the woodwork during his side’s loss to Chelsea yesterday evening.
Watford 1-2 Chelsea
The Hornets welcomed Maurizio Sarri’s men to Vicarage Road, in the final of yesterday’s 9 Premier League fixtures.
Javi Gracia’s men headed into proceedings on the back of 2 straight league victories, versus Cardiff and West Ham respectively.
Chelsea, meanwhile, had fallen to a shock defeat in their last outing, at home to Leicester City.
However, the Blues got themselves firmly back on track last night, eventually securing a hard-fought 2-1 win at Vicarage Road.
Eden Hazard bagged both of the goals for the visitors, continuing his superb form during the opening-half of the campaign:

And a disappointing day all-round for hosts Watford was compounded by a worrying injury picked up by defender Christian Kabasele.
Belgian international Kabasele was forced off after just a quarter of an hour last night, after colliding heavily with the post.
The stopper incredibly actually managed to return to the pitch following the incident, but was forced to succumb to his injury 5 minutes later.
And it was only once he reached the players’ tunnel that the seriousness of Kabasele’s injury was picked up on, eventually leading to the Hornets’ star being placed on a stretcher and rushed to hospital.
As such, concern understandably immediately spread over the 27-year-old’s well-being.
‘Back as soon as possible’
However, Kabasele has this afternoon taken to social media to post an encouraging message regarding his recovery, confirming that he did not break any bones, and even finding time to crack a joke at his own expense:
Good morning everybody .Hopefully nothing broken but still have big pain🤕 Great gesture of the goal post who visited me at hospital 🤭 Thank you for your messages I hope to be back as soon as possible 🐝 #watfordfc

Watford’s next outing comes on Saturday afternoon, when the Hornets welcome Newcastle United to Vicarage Road for a Premier League clash.
Kabasele, though, looks highly-unlikely to feature.
