Watch: Rodrygo’s jaw-dropping assist tees up historic Benzema goal for Real Madrid

A moment of magic on the part of Real Madrid starlet Rodrygo has pique widespread attentions online late on Saturday evening.

For those not aware, Rodrygo, and Real, are currently locked in action.

Amid ongoing efforts to cut into arch rivals Barcelona’s advantage atop the La Liga table, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops have welcomed relegation-battling Almeria to the Santiago Bernabeu.

And, as things stand, Los Blancos look well on their way to a comfortable three points.

This comes owing to a first-half brace on the part of captain and talisman Karim Benzema.

The Frenchman’s opener was teed up by attacking partner in crime Vinicius Jr, who made use of a trademark surge to the visitors’ endline, before sliding a pinpoint delivery across the face of goal for Benzema to slot away with ease:

As alluded to above, though, it was a moment of brilliance on the part of one of Real’s other Brazilian sensations which has since truly grabbed the headlines.

This comes after Rodrygo was responsible for one of the assists of the season in Spain’s top-flight, ingeniously dancing his way beyond an Almeria defender, opening the door for Benzema to pick out the far corner in style:

And Real’s main men, in the process, made history, in breaking his tie with the legendary Hugo Sanchez to take sole ownership of the title of La Liga’s 4th-highest goalscorer of all-time:
