Chelsea, Arsenal & David Alaba
Over the past few months, Bayern Munich’s Austrian star David Alaba has been linked with a possible move to the Premier League.
Back in March, for example, the Guardian linked the utility star with a transfer to Chelsea as they reported:
In terms of a left-sided defender, Conte has set his sights high and has told Abramovich he is keen to sign David Alaba of Bayern Munich or Juventus’s Alex Sandro.
A little further back in December, the Manchester Evening News issued a report announcing that should Alaba leave the Allianz Arena for the EPL, he’d prefer to join Arsenal over Man United.
Alaba’s availability, however, has been doubted as he signed a new Bayern contract in March 2016 keeping him at the club until 2021.
Bayern issue a warning
Bayern take on Real Madrid on Wednesday in the Champions League, and before the game Bayern CEO Karlheinz Rummenigge has issued a warning for any interested Alaba suitor:
I can guarantee that David Alaba will never be on the market. We value him very, very highly.
Van Gaal, Heynckes, Pep and Ancelotti – all of them loved him.
