Video: Rangers’ Ianis Hagi makes Rudiger look like an amateur with stunning individual goal vs Germany

Rangers talent Ianis Hagi has stolen the headlines online this evening, after bagging a wonderful individual goal during Romania’s meeting with Germany.

Germans behind

Hagi and co. are currently locked in action with Die Mannschaft in Hamburg.

The clash marks the respective nations’ 7th qualifier, amid their endeavours to secure a spot at next year’s Qatar World Cup.

Ahead of kick-off on Friday, it was Germany who unsurprisingly sat pretty atop the Group J table, with a fine record of five wins from six.

Visitors Romania, however, were aware ahead of proceedings getting underway that a shock victory would guide them to within two points of Hansi Flick’s men, and spark genuine hope of a spot at the 2022 showpiece.

And, remarkably, as things stand, all three points is precisely what Mirel Radoi’s outfit are headed towards.

Hagi shining

With 45 minutes played at the Volksparkstadion, Romania lead Germany by a goal to nil, owing to a moment of sheer individual brilliance.

As outlined above, Rangers talent Ianis Hagi proved the man on target, picking up the ball on the right flank, before cutting inside, beating a pair of German defenders (including Antonio Rudiger by means of a devilish nutmeg), and picking out the far corner with a pinpoint left-footed strike.
