Victor Lindelof: Beating Man City can turn Manchester United’s season around

Victor Lindelof has recently stated that he believes beating Manchester City could be what turns Manchester United’s season around.

‘We just have to keep working hard every day and go game by game’

When asked if beating Juventus and City in the same week could be what turns United’s season around, Lindelof stated:

 “I think so, yes.

“Obviously, we want to win every game but we had a quite difficult start at the beginning of the season.

“But now we have got some good results in the last few games and we just have to keep working hard every day and go game by game.”

Lindelof also commented on the amount of playing time he has been getting recently:

“It feels good,” said Lindelof. “I’ve been playing a lot of games since the start of the season, I’m just trying to keep on going and doing the best for the team.

“At the moment I feel good – my body is fresh. I never doubt [myself]. I’ve always been confident.”

Manchester United’s mixed start

Manchester United have not had a great start to the 2018/19 season.

United have already lost games they really should have been winning, such as their 3-2 loss to Brighton.

Their defence has also been very poor having let in 18 goals in 11 league games.

However, United’s form does appear to be on the up.

Man United are unbeaten in their last four league games, winning three and drawing one.

They also came from behind to beat Juventus in Turin earlier this week.

You can watch the highlights of that comeback below.

So, if United were to go to City and win on Sunday, it would really show they are back to their best.
