Updates on Arsenal’s Malcom interest & Milan’s Torreira pursuit

Arsenal & Barcelona’s Malcom

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Malcom’s agent will meet with Barcelona next week to discuss his client’s future.

As per the report from MD, Malcom is said to be willing to stay at the Nou Camp next season, despite his limited game time.

However, Barca are apparently willing to consider the Brazilian’s sale.

The report also mentions that Barcelona’s offices are aware of interest from both Arsenal and north London rivals, Tottenham.

The Gunners were linked with a loan move for the winger during the 2018/19 season, but nothing came to pass.

Malcom made just 15 La Liga appearances this past season, scoring one and assisting two.

Also, with the news that Antoine Griezmann will be joining Barcelona this summer, Malcom will be pushed even further down the Barcelona attacking pecking order.

Milan unlikely to sign Torreira

Elsewhere at Arsenal, Lucas Torreira’s future was thrown into doubt recently, when he admitted that he preferred life in Italy, over that in England.

When asked what parts of life he enjoyed in England, Torreira stated:

“I don’t know if there are many things that I enjoy. I think it was better in Italy. England is a totally different world, a very large country.

“The language [barrier] has cost me, to be able to relate with my peers and with the people. It is very difficult when you can’t have dialogue.” As quoted by the Metro.

Well, according to reliable journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Italian outfit AC Milan are interested in the Uruguayan.

However, the same report from Di Marzio also mentions that Milan signing Torreira would be very difficult, due to the Gunners having no intention of selling a man for whom they paid €30 million less than a year ago.
