Arsenal vs Chelsea
All eyes will be on the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
There’s a huge London derby which awaits as Arsenal take on Chelsea in the Premier League.
Arsenal can leapfrog Tottenham into fifth place with a win over the Pensioners.
Alternatively a win for Chelsea would lift them above Man United into second place in the table.
Last season in the corresponding fixture, Arsenal beat Chelsea 3-0 before the Blues went on to win the EPL title.
Will Mesut Ozil play for the Gunners?
One of the big questions for Arsenal fans before the Chelsea game is whether Mesut Ozil will feature.
On Tuesday Arsene Wenger confirmed that Ozil is a doubt for the match.
The German World Cup winner is suppose to have a test prior to kick off to assess whether he’s fit enough to play.
Ozil was a surprise absentee last weekend at West Brom.
In the build up to the Baggies game reports filtered out that Ozil picked up a knee injury.
The memories of 2017 were endless and unforgettable. 👍🏼😉 FA Cup – win, World Cup – qualification, releasing my autobiography 'Gunning for Greatness', my own M1Ö – fashion brand, meeting such incredible guys like Brendan and Charlie, falling in love with @gulseamine… thank you to all my followers for being a part of 2017. I'm sure the World Cup year 2018 will be even better. 🏆 I wish you all the best in the new year! ⭐🎇
The Times believe Ozil’s out
On Wednesday the Times have produced their predicted line-ups for the Arsenal versus Chelsea game.
According to the broadsheet Ozil is expected to miss the match.
It’s unclear whether Ozil will even be fit enough to feature on the bench.
It’s also worth noting that the Times have Mohamed Elneny starting in the middle of the pitch against Chelsea.
Will Elneny, Jack Wilshere and Granit Xhaka be able to contain Chelsea’s midfield?
It’s believed N’Golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Cesc Fabregas will all star for Antonio Conte in the middle of the park.
But are the Times correct? According to the Mirror Ozil has been included in Arsenal’s provisional squad for the Chelsea game.
