‘Unbelievable’ Leeds star widely hailed on back of display in West Ham win
Viewers of the clash between Leeds United and West Ham United have taken to social media in their numbers, to single one member of the former’s squad out for special praise.
Harrison at the treble
One of two lunchtime Premier League kick-offs was of course played out in the capital a short time ago.
Whilst Liverpool were making short work of Brentford, David Moyes’ high-flying West Ham played host to relegation-battling Leeds, desperate for three points to extend their advantage over the top-4 chasing pack.
When all was said and done at the London Stadium, however, the Irons were brought firmly back down to earth by a spirited Leeds outfit.
Despite the absences of the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Patrick Bamford and Diego Llorente having been added to by a pair of fresh injury blows inside the opening half hour, the Peacocks stood tall in the face of adversity, to eventually emerge on the right side of a 5-goal thriller.
Jack Harrison proved the undoubted star of the show, bagging a brilliant hat-trick to assure that strikes on the part of both Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals ultimately proved little more than consolation for hosts West Ham:
What a response from Leeds!

‘Unbelievable’
On the back of the full-time whistle sounding at the London Stadium on Sunday, though, it is not the name of match-winner Harrison which has in fact since taken centre stage in the post-match chatter.
This honour, instead, has been reserved for Leeds teammate Raphinha.
Amid his latest starring display, Brazilian wide-man Raphinha bagged an assist, had another chalked off for offside, and saw a stunning free-kick crash off the inside of the post and out.
In turn, viewers of this afternoon’s action have taken to social media in numbers, to use one word to describe the talents possessed by the Whites’ star man:
Raphinha is absolutely unbelievable. Wow 😮💨😮💨
