Huddersfield 1 – Arsenal 2
Huddersfield finally scored a goal, Arsenal continued to fail to keep clean sheet on the road, but the Gunners collected the all-important three points.
Alex Iwobi gave Arsenal the lead in the 16th minute from a Sead Kolasinac assist.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles teed up Alexandre Lacazette for Arsenal’s second just before the break.
Huddersfield scored late on thanks to a Kolasinac own goal.
Man United & Chelsea
Man United started the weekend’s round of fixtures with a 3-0 away win at Fulham.
That’s lifted Man United into fourth in the league with 51 points.
Chelsea are fifth on 50 points. The Blues are away at Man City on Sunday.
As for Arsenal, they are sixth on 50 points, behind Chelsea on goal difference.
Unai Emery on Arsenal’s top four hopes
After Huddersfield, Unai Emery was asked the critical question.
Can Arsenal edge out Chelsea and Man United to claim fourth spot in the Premier League?
While stopping short of saying Arsenal will do it, Emery is confident the Gunners can move above Chelsea and Man United:
Day 26? We are at the moment one point off Manchester United. If we ask is it easy or difficult, it’s difficult.
But we can and day 26 we are on our way. Our motivation is very great and every player wants to struggle every match and be consistent over 38 matches.
We are moving closer to the other clubs.
