Liverpool & Lyon’s Nabil Fekir
Liverpool fans. Here we go again!
In a maddening case of Groundhog Day, rumours linking Liverpool to Lyon’s Nabil Fekir are back.
For anyone with a poor memory, Liverpool were reportedly on the verge of signing Fekir last summer.
Indeed, rumours circulated twelve months ago that Fekir had agreed to join Liverpool, before the transfer eventually collapsed.
So what’s the latest update?
Before Liverpool fans shake their heads at the Fekir to Anfield rumours, it’s worth noting that two reporters have posted updates on the topic in recent hours.
First, Nicolò Schira, who writes for the Gazzetta dello Sport, claimed that “Jurgen Klopp has reignited his interest in Nabil Fekir”.
Schira also reported that Liverpool have actually “offered to Fekir a contract until 2024 by €4m at year.”
As to the player’s price tag, Lyon are holding out for Liverpool to bid €50 million.
Jurgen #Klopp has reignited his interest in Nabil #Fekir and he would buy him from #OlympiqueLyon. Aulas wants for his player €50M at least. #Liverpool have offered to Fekir a contract until 2024 by €4M at year. #transfers #LFC

Backing up that report is a separate update from Canal Plus reporter Romain Collet-Gaudin.
He’s claimed that Liverpool are indeed back in the mix to sign Fekir.
Collet-Gaudin also concurred that Lyon are looking to sell Fekir for €50 million, while Liverpool are only prepared to offer €30 million.

Nabil Fekir’s Lyon contract
25-year-old Fekir is under contract at Lyon until 2020.
That means that, unless Lyon can agree a contract extension with the attacking midfielder, Fekir will be allowed to start talking to foreign clubs about a move as a free agent in January.
Fekir scored 12 goals and assisted nine in all competitions last season.
