Michy Batshuayi might be King of Twitter, but he’s never been King of Antonio Conte’s heart – yet since leaving Stamford Bridge for a loan spell in Germany with BVB, the player has been banging in the goals.
So much so that he has netted 7 in 9 Bundesliga games, while Chelsea pair Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata have struggled badly in front of goal – and the same thing happened again while the Blues took on West Ham United and only got a point against the struggling side, with Cesar Azpilicueta scoring their only goal – and the Batsman scoring for BVB once again.
Michy has noted he’s always wanted to play for BVB, and at this rate, the club are going to want to keep him once the loan spell is over – but given Chelsea will be getting a new manager, who probably won’t have the same issues Antonio Conte does with the player, the Blues may very well bring him back and give him a proper chance to impress – given when he played for them under Conte he did manage to score some very important goals – and Chelsea fans were quick to point out they want to see him back at the club come next season.

You’ll never guess who scored for Dortmund again… Batshuayi’s seventh goal makes it 2-0 v VfB Stuttgart.

Michy, Morata and Giroud is a perfectly solid strike force for next season. Don’t right Batshuayi off simply because Conte didn’t trust him, under a new manager he will come good.

Michy Batshuayi in 2018:
– Scored three goals and assisted one for Chelsea
– Scored twice and assisted one on his Dortmund debut
– Scored twice on his Europa League debut
– Netted his 9th Dortmund goal in 13 games
He averages a goal every 103 minutes. pic.twitter.com/34lx0Zx8JT

Pretty sure Michy Batshuayi has scored more goals on Chelsea matchdays since joining Dortmund than he did at Stamford Bridge.

Anyone else find it funny that Chelsea loaned out Batshuayi who may score as many goals as Morata & Giroud combined, in half a season?
