Twitter cannot handle that Claudio Ranieri has been sacked

Twitter and social media in general, went into meltdown this evening after it emerged through the Daily Mail that Claudio Ranieri had been sacked.

It was later confirmed that the Italian had been sacked.

The Leicester boss won the title just nine months ago and has guided the Foxes through their Champions League campaign.

Leicester were able to salvage some hope on Wednesday evening as they scored against Sevilla to take an away goal to the King Power.

Now, Ranieri may not be in charge for the second leg having been reportedly sacked.

The club have been in free fall this season and could be relegated following an incredibly disappointing league campaign.

Although they are still fighting in the Champions League, if they are without a manager for the next leg, it may be all over.

Twitter reacts

It is safe to say that the news was not brushed under the carpet, there was a widespread interest in the sacking of Ranieri.

A man who had just won the Premier League against all odds only nine months ago, now sacked.
