As per a report from Sky Sports football expert Kaveh Solhekol this afternoon, Turkish side Antalyaspor have confirmed that they are in talks with Arsenal regarding midfielder Jack Wilshere.
On the move?
Despite the fact that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently insisted that Wilshere would remain at the Emirates next season, the English international has been heavily linked with both loan and permanent moves away from North London for several weeks now.
Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Bournemouth (where Wilshere spent last season on loan) are said to maintain an interest in the 25-year-old, while Serie A outfits AC Milan, AS Roma and Sampdoria have also been linked.
However, a surprise contender have emerged for Wilshere’s signature this afternoon, in the form Turkish Super Lig outfit Antalyaspor.
Reports state that the Antalya-based side are very keen on taking the English midfielder to Turkey, though Arsenal ‘want a lot‘ for Wilshere, who they still hold in high regard.
The Emirates club previously turned down a £6 million bid from Sampdoria, with Arsene Wenger and co. said to be holding out for a fee in the region of £20 million.
