William Carvalho is reportedly due to undergo a medical in East London on Monday or Tuesday next week.

Carvalho was absent from Sporting Lison’s 1-0 win over Setúbal yesterday, with Sporting manager Jorge Jesus stating:

“We are all curious about William, he is a very popular player, very coveted.”

“It was to protect William, Sporting, everything,” Jesus said about Carvalho’s absence.

West Ham United have offered €30m + €10m in add-ons for William Carvalho and the player is also keen on the move, according to journalist Duncan Castles.

Portuguese source Diario de Noticias also understand that West Ham have reached an agreement with the player to join the club, having spent time in Lisbon last week agreeing on a transfer.

After joining Sporting back in 2011 from Cercle Brugge, Carvalho has made 156 appearances for the Portuguese outfit, being linked with numerous big moves away over past few yaers.

Carvalho was part of Portugal’s Euro 2016 winning squad, making five appearances.
