Another day, another Vincent Janssen story
For the second successive day, the European media are discussing Vincent Janssen and his desire to join Tottenham.
On Sunday, it was L’Equipe that claimed Janssen had rejected a move to PSG as he only has eyes for Spurs.
On Monday, De Telegraaf, usually a reliable source for transfer news, confirm that West Ham are the latest club to attempt to sign Janssen from under the noses of Tottenham.
West Ham have offered 20 million euros, but Janssen has rejected the chance to sign for Tottenham’s London rivals as well.
AZ Alkmaar look at Janssen replacement
Despite all the speculation, Janssen’s transfer looks very close to Tottenham, with AZ Alkmaar now looking for replacements.
According to De Telegraaf, AZ are now eyeing Lillestrom striker Fred Friday as a replacement for the Spurs bound Janssen.
Janssen wants to being pre-season training at Spurs and is frustrated that a 17 million euro offer from the north London side has not been accepted.
The Dutch newspaper adds that Janssen will earn 15 times his current salary at White Hart Lane.
West Ham meanwhile will have to direct the striker search elsewhere, having failed with moves for Alexandre Lacazette and Carlos Bacca so far this summer.
