West Ham preparing for the summer
In the last two games, West Ham have picked up four points and significantly eased their relegation worries.
The win over Southampton at home and draw away at Chelsea has pushed West Ham up the table and given fans great hope of staying up.
It has been far from an easy season for the Hammers who are paying for quite a few lacklustre transfer windows now.
Not to mention, issues with the staff that are helping choose targets as well.
Most West Ham fans will be hoping they are preparing for the summer already as the transfer window will be shorter, and the World Cup will hamper efforts for recruitment as well.
West Ham keen on Danny Drinkwater
One of the best sources for transfer news regarding West Ham is @ExWHUemployee on Twitter.
On Friday, @ExWHUemployee reports that West Ham have targeted Danny Drinkwater as a possible signing from Chelsea this summer.
Danny Drinkwater of Chelsea has emerged as a potential midfield target for us following his frustration at his lack of games and the signing could become even more realistic if Leicester’s Director of football Eduardo Macià is appointed (who actually sold him to Chelsea funnily)

Drinkwater has played just over 500 minutes of Premier League football this season for Chelsea, after joining from Leicester last summer.
At 28, Drinkwater would provide energy and class to a West Ham midfield that has looked a little short of quality this season.
A new Director of Football (as specified in the Tweet above) also suggests West Ham’s beleaguered owners may also be planning for a big summer of change.
