West Ham and Southampton ‘tracking’ Jovane Cabral

Recent reports from Portugal have linked a couple of Premier League clubs with Sporting CP star, Jovane Cabral.
Who is Jovane Cabral?
Cabral has been plying his trade with Sporting for just over six years now.
The 22-year-old joined the Portuguese powerhouse’s youth set-up back in 2014, and has since slowly worked his way through their ranks.
Cabral eventually debuted for Sporting’s senior side in 2018, and has since notched 58 appearances across all competitions.
All told, in these 58 outings, he has managed 11 goals and 12 assists.
Cabral is a winger by trade, and is more than capable of lining out on either flank.
This season, though, has seen the once-capped Cape Verde international handed a centre-forward role.
Premier League clubs eyeing Cabral
Such versatility, meanwhile, has likely prove central to Cabral attracting interest from several Premier League clubs.
The Sporting star has just over three years remaining on his current deal.
It is claimed by Portuguese outlet, O Jogo, though, that Sporting are keen to tie Cabral down to a new contract, which would run until 2025.
O Jogo also suggest that the Verde e Brancos would like to insert a release clause worth around £90m into any deal.
However, before that, it looks as though Sporting could face a fight to simply keep Cabral on their books. This comes amid claims that both West Ham United and Southampton are tracking the versatile forward.
Given the fact that he can line out anywhere across a front-three, Cabral’s addition would likely prove a decent bit of business for either Premier League outfit – provided they can lure the 22-year-old away before Sporting tie him down to fresh terms.
