Spurs boss Pochettino

West Brom & Tottenham deal has been ‘sanctioned’

West Brom & Tottenham transfer is close

Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett‏ has taken to Twitter on Sunday to reveal his updates on a possible deal between Tottenham and West Brom.

The two Premier League sides have done business down the years, most recently when Nacer Chadli switched clubs in 2016.

However dealings between the two have also been thorny at times. Tottenham’s attempts to sign Saido Berahino a while ago famously turned rather nasty.

However, with less than two weeks left in the current window, Tottenham could be about to sell a defender to West Brom.

waiting for the new season like.. ⏳😁

Kevin Wimmer to West Brom

In classic Tony Pulis fashion, West Brom are considering a move for Austrian international Kevin Wimmer.

24-year-old Wimmer has struggled for a first team spot at Tottenham, while his position in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad dropped again recently after the signing of Davinson Sanchez.

West Brom can sign Wimmer for 15 million pounds. The decision to press forward with the deal is at Pulis’s door, after the Baggies board “sanctioned” the deal.

What about Jonny Evans?

One of the surprise rumours to pop up last week were claims Man City could sign Jonny Evans.

Evans, the former Man United defender, was the target of an 18 million pound offer from the Sky Blues.

West Brom rejected that approach, and it’s been reported that even if the Wimmer deal happens, Evans is staying at the Hawthorns.

West Brom have started the season on fire. The beat Bournemouth 1-0 in the opening weekend of the season, while they won 1-0 at Burnley on Saturday.
