An insight into the incoming efforts of Chelsea to strike a deal for Leicester City star Wesley Fofana has been provided on Thursday evening.
The future of Frenchman Fofana, of course, has taken its place front and centre in the media headlines of late.
This comes after the 21-year-old was identified as a prime summer target on the part of Leicester’s Premier League rivals, Chelsea.
The Blues are on the lookout for reinforcements at centre-half on the back of the respective free agent departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, with Fofana viewed as an option not only for the present, but the future, too.
To this point, however, the efforts of the powers that be at Stamford Bridge to strike a deal have proven to be in vain.
This comes with Leicester’s board having continued to stand firm in their mammoth demands for the club’s star stopper.

Instead, as per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Todd Boehly and co. are preparing a fresh proposal for Fofana’s signature.
The offer in question is expected to come in around the £75 million mark, including bonuses.
It is also reiterated that Fofana, as things stand, ‘only wants Chelsea’.
