According to Belgium journalist Kristof Terreur of Het Laatste Nieuws, Tottenham have been sending their scouts to watch Gent striker Laurent Depoitre in recent weeks.
The 26 year-old forward has recently been called up to the Belgium national team after a superb start to the season in the Jupiler League.
Depoitre netted 14 times in 40 games for Gent last season having made the move from KV Oostende, while this season the attacker has bettered his performances with six goals in the opening ten games of the new season.

Whether Spurs pull the trigger on trying to sign Laurent Depoitre in the January transfer window remains to be seen, but the indication is that Tottenham are seeking to boost their attacking options.
With Harry Kane struggling to get going in the Premier League this campaign, goals have been at a premium for the Lillywhites.
The club did sign Clinten Njie and Heung-min Son in the summer, but with fourth place up for grabs this year following Chelsea’s poor start to the campaign, it appears that Spursare already putting a plan together to try and return to the Champions League next season.
