Tottenham look set to complete their first piece of summer transfer business very soon.
Spurs had an excellent 2021/22 campaign that saw them beat Arsenal to the final Champions League spot.
In turn, as well as likely giving rise to the ability to attract a higher caliber of player, Champions League football will also provide additional revenue to the club.
And it appears as though the Lilywhites are already putting their Champions League funds to use, as it has been reported that Tottenham are set to seal two new signings imminently, with Fraser Forster and Ivan Perisic joining on free transfers. The pair will both sign two-year contracts.
Tottenham were not the only English side in for Perisic, with reports elsewhere having claimed that Chelsea invited the Croatian for a medical only for him to choose to link back up with Antonio Conte, under whom he won the Serie A title in 2020/21.
It is added that Perisic, 33, will sign a contract worth £75,000-per-week with the north Londoners.
No weekly wage has yet been reported for Fraser Forster, but, given the fact that he is only expected to be used a back-up option to Hugo Lloris, it is hard to see the veteran demanding too much in terms of a pay packet.
