Times: Anthony Martial & Man United

But will Martial leave the Theatre of Dreams?

The Times believe Martial’s position is not irreversible, and the Gallic star could yet change his mind.

But Martial is playing hardball with United, and he’s making demands:

Anthony Martial will seek assurances from Jose Mourinho about his Manchester United future after becoming disillusioned at his failure to hold down a regular place in the first team.

Will United bow to the player’s demands? That feels hugely unlikely.

The Times even indicate as much, by noting that some at Old Trafford have been unimpressed with Martial:

Mourinho’s staff have been concerned about Martial’s application in training and his concentration levels.

Martial is now the third choice at United, behind Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford.

After beating Man City in the derby last time out, Man United are back in action this weekend with a home match against West Brom.
