Tottenham keen on Danish international team mate of Christian Eriksen

Tottenham join the race for Thomas Delaney

Sport Bild have an intriguing update on an emerging midfielder in the Bundesliga today.

Thomas Delaney joined Werder Bremen for just two million euros last January from FC Copenhagen.

It seems safe to say that the 26-year-old midfielder is now worth a lot more than that.

Delaney did well in his first half season in the Bundesliga but has started 2017/2018 on absolute fire.

The Werder Bremen midfielder has scored five goals in his past three matches. Four of them came for Denmark over the international break.

The other was scored for Werder Bremen at Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga over the weekend.

Everton & Spurs keen on Delaney

On Wednesday, Sport Bild (via Weser Kurier) report that Delaney is keen on a move to the Premier League.

Burnley expressed an interest in Delaney over the summer but he was not interested in a move. Until Spurs, the biggest side linked with the Dane was Everton.

The German press are now predicting a summer move for Delaney.

Delaney rated at 15 million euros

Delaney would be keen to talk to a Premier League club despite the fact he is contracted to Bremen until 2021.

If Spurs were to make a move, they would have to pay 15 million euros for Delaney.

In Denmark’s last game against Armenia, Delaney played in a midfield three alongside Christian Eriksen.

Are Tottenham interested in Thomas Delaney?

The Spurs midfielder scored once and bagged an assist, for Delaney’s third goal of his hat-trick.

It could be possible that Eriksen has recommended Delaney to Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Equally, it seems possible that the German press are using Tottenham’s supposed interest in Delaney as a bid to provoke interest from elsewhere.
