Tottenham & AZ Alkmmar
For the past few days, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy are seemingly been enjoying his favourite pastime: haggling over shekels in order to get the best deal for Spurs.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been linked with several strikers throughout the summer, but Dutch forward Vincent Janssen has been identified as the man the Lillywhites want.
The AZ Alkmaar forward burst onto the scene last season, where he scored 25 goals in 34 games in the Dutch top flight.
He’s also taken to international football like a duck to water, scoring three goals in his first five appearances for the national team.
During the summer, Janssen has made it clear that he wants to move to White Hart Lane, but the sides have been fighting over the transfer fee.
Now, however, it’s believed Spurs have their man.
Voetbalzone: The deal is done
According to Dutch website Voetbalzone, Spurs and AZ Alkmaar have agreed terms for Janssen.
Tottenham are thought to be spending 20 million euros, plus additional bonuses, on the Dutch centre-forward.
Janssen is tipped to be heading to London “as soon as possible” to have his medical and complete the transfer.
